Transfer: Manchester United Pick Arsenal Star As Cristiano Ronaldo’s Replacement

Manchester United have already picked a replacement for wantaway superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Sun reports that the Red Devils have chosen Arsenal flop, Serge Gnabry as the replacement for the Portugal captain who does not want to continue at Old Trafford.

The report circulated in Europe and beyond on Saturday that the 37-year-old has demanded to leave the Theatre of Dreams majorly because of their lack of Champions League football next season.

Ronaldo is not also happy that after finishing 6th in the Premier League last season and failing to win any trophy, the Red Devils hierarchy is finding it difficult to sign players this transfer window.

While Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham are busy in the transfer market, Manchester United have not completed a single deal despite being linked with several players.

United are committed to keeping Ronaldo at Old Trafford at all costs but a potential replacement has already been found in the form of winger Gnabry, who also wants to leave Bayern Munich following the arrival of Sadio Mane from Liverpool.

The Sun reports that United are interested in the former Arsenal player but could face competition from local rivals Manchester City.

Gnabry would add much-needed depth to United’s front line, which would look very toothless if Ronaldo did depart.

Once considered an Arsenal flop, Gnabry has developed into an elite winger in recent years, scoring 64 and assisting 40 over the last four seasons, winning four league titles and the Champions League.
