Transfer: Arsenal Confirm Deal For Bandeira As Manchester United Announce New Signing


Arsenal on Monday confirmed that midfielder, Mauro Bandeira, has signed his first professional contract.

Arsenal disclosed this in a statement via its website.

The statement read in part, “Mauro Bandeira has signed his first professional contract with the club.

“The 18-year-old central midfielder joined us in August 2016 from QPR, aged 13, and has gone on to become a key player across our youth teams.”

Speaking after signing the deal, Mauro told Arsenal’s official website: “There’s no better feeling than signing this contract with my boyhood club.

“The atmosphere at the training ground is a place where you come to get better, everyone here supports us, so this is somewhere I want to be and grow as a player and a person. ”

Meanwhile, Manchester United Women announced the signing of Canadian international Adriana Leon.

The Red Devils disclosed this in a statement via its website.

It said, “Manchester United Women are delighted to announce the signing of Canadian international Adriana Leon on a contract running until the end of the 2023/24 season.

“Adriana makes the switch to the North West from West Ham United, where she spent three-and-a-half seasons with the East London side, making 59 appearances and scoring 13 goals.”

After signing with Man United, Adriana said: “I could not be more thrilled and honoured to join this historic football club. To be the first Canadian female player to play for Manchester United fills me with immense pride and excitement.

“I can’t wait to join this talented group and put on the famous red jersey.”
