COVID-19: Lagos State Government Sealed Cubana Night Club For Operating Despite Ban On Night Clubs

The Lagos State Safety Commission on Saturday night 19th December 2020, sealed off the Cubana Night Club in Ikeja for non-compliant of the State Government COVID-19 protocols.

According to LIB, the Cubana Night club and other facilities around Ikeja that flouted the Covid-19 rules were shut down.

You recall that RainSMediaRadio reported that Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu on Friday 18th of December 2020 announced that there are indications that Nigeria, Lagos, in particular, has entered what seems to be the second wave of the pandemic.

Therefore place restrictions on Churches and Mosques for the second time to operate not more than 50% of their facility capacity but place a ban on concert, night clubs, carnival and any gatherings of the sort.

According to LIB, a team of Lagos State Safety Commission led by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, stormed the Ikeja GRA facility of Cubana grills and shut down the facility for hosting customers despite the ban on night clubs. The videos of the operation were shared online by the Lagos State Government to show the night club customers being ordered out of the facility on Saturday night.
