I Still Remain Senate Leader – Ali Ndume Reacts To His Sack By The APC Caucus

Following the removal of Ali Ndume as majority leader by the members of the APC caucus, the senator has reacted.

We reported earlier today that the All Progressives Caucus in the Nigerian Senate has sacked the Majority Leader, Senator Ali Ndume, as its leader.

The decision was conveyed in a letter to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, which was read on the floor of the chamber during the plenary on Tuesday, as the party announced Senator Ahmed Lawan as its new leader.

Speaking at a press briefing at the National Asembly, Abuja on Thursday, Senator Ali Ndume, the lawmaker representing Borno South in the Senate, has maintained that he remains the Senate Leader.

“I still remain Senate Leader,” he said.
