Veteran Nigerian rapper Eedris Abdulkareem has shared his perspective on the growth of Burna Boy and how he got to his current level of dominance.
Eedris who is fondly remembered for his song ‘Jaga Jaga’ reacted to Burna Boy’s recent rant about getting to where he was without help from other perhaps senior colleagues. In a series of tweets the ‘African Giant’ claimed nobody paved the way for him except Fela.
In a recent episode of e-Splash Eedris Abdulkareem stated that Burna Boy ought to apologize to Fela because he only got to where he is today because he stole some of Fela’s songs. The music veteran also asked Burna Boy to point what the messages his songs try to convey because Fela’s songs all had messages for society.
