A man recently committed suicide, and his widow is over-joyed at the turnout of events.

According to reports, 33-year-old Rose Keniah has reason to rejoice at the news of her husband’s apparent suicide, after he had earlier tried to kill her.

Rose who had been married to her late husband Mathias Sedungon for over 16 years, had narrowly escaped death at her husband’s hands when he tried to shoot her earlier.

Even though Mathias was said to be an expert shooter, he had ended up killing himself with his own gun. He was said to have fired his gun at Rose at close range and when the bullet hit her in the shoulder, he ran away to hide, moments later, he was found dead.

The incident which occurred at Asotwe, near Ejisu in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, was said to have started following a series of misunderstandings which quickly escalated into a fight and eventual separation between the couple, causing Mathias to ambush and try to kill his wife.
Rose had been at the hospital where her wounds were being tended to, when she got news of her husband’s suicide. She says she only missed death because of ‘divine intervention’, because her husband was known as a good marksman.

The mother of four children said the family is awaiting the release of his body by the police, for immediate burial. She also advised people suffering from domestic and spousal abuse, to flee from the danger and also report the matter to the police.
