EFCC Freezing Of Fayose’s Account: Call EFCC To Order – Ondo State Governor, Mimiko Tells FG As He Reacts

Ondo state governor has called on the Federal government to call the EFCC to order following the freezing of one of the accounts of Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose. In a statement he released yesterday June 21st, Mimiko said this action by the antigraft agency is not good for democracy.

“What has happened is a blatant and violent infraction on the provision of the constitution and our democracy. It’s an attempt to subvert the constitution and it is fascist. The intention is to achieve a penal sanction without going through the due criminal procedure and criminal proceedings. Immunity is part of the constitution and it must be respected whether anybody likes it or not”he said
