A senior police officer has given a waitress the fright of her life after pulling out a gun to threaten her.
James Githinji, a Chief Inspector of Police has been arrested.
The man was arrested for allegedly attempting to kill a waitress at a pub in Nakuru County in Kenya.
According to Tuko, Mogotio Police Station commander (OCS), James Githinji is reported to have been enjoying his Sunday night at Olepolos club in Rongai when the incident happened.
Githinji is said to have tried to shoot the waitress, Nancy Jepkurui after claiming that he had lost Sh12, 500 inside the bar.
Reports indicate that Jepkurui was saved by a patron in the night club who grabbed the officer’s Jericho pistol at the nick of time.
The police boss’ gun has been seized as evidence.
Police officers have in the recent past been accused of being trigger-happy hence causing unnecessary deaths and injuries.
Slightly a month ago, police officers were suspected of shooting dead a patient at Mwingi Hospital.
