Joshua Osamwonyi popularly known as Director young city is a creative director and editor. We had a brief chat with him recently, and below is the chat.

Well about my name change, director yc is actually an abbreviation of director young city. i mean the team agreed that the name is more catchy you know.

Last year was a great year, i mean many opportunities, had the opportunity to work with Akon, It was crazy, like man that was the highlight. and also got involved in couple of projects, from music videos to films to commercials and even events. like i would say it was an international affair thing. working with stefflondon was one of such. one of the movie i worked on won the best film at the lekki international film festival, another one won big in Germany. and two others will be showing at the rollywood festival in Trinidad and Tobago in later this year.
And TG Omori has been a great influence too, nobody saw him coming, he took the industry by storm. so i would say i’m appealing to artiste out there, give an upcoming director a chance today, because you might just be making the next TG Omori.
