ABIA MUSIC AWARDS 2016:

it was on the 18th day of December 2016 at luxury city hotels sugar land, 84b aba Owerri road, umungasi Aba, home of Abia entertainment that the maiden edition of the Abia Music Awards took place in history.
The event happened to be one that will never be forgotten because it left the people of Abia State and the entertainers both inside and diaspora with great Joy and happiness.
The turn out was very massive. We recorded an audience of two thousand people in attendance with an unrecorded over flow.

The purpose of abia music awards is to promote excellence which was also the theme for this year’s A. M. A.
Highlight of the night and special moments was when the nominees received there first ever state music award and special recognition award.

Phillip Okwy Udeagbala : Best Video Director Of The Year (Ada ngwa)

Yuzy Beat : Best Producer Of The Year (kpele) was presented to him by prince jonathan eze nwadinobi, stage name (Eze One)

Oga micky: Song Of The Year (carpenter) was presented to him by Mr sammy oranugo

Oga Micky : Best Collaboration Of The Year (ft slowdog) was presented to him by Chigozie charles (Master G)

British pastors : Comedian Of The Year, was presented by Mr sammy oranugo

Excel Wise : Best Rap Singe (082) was presented to him by paddy patrick.

Xb magic : Best Song By New Act. Was presented to him by emannuel barnevald

Oga Micky : Artise Of The Year, was presented to him by mr sammy oranugo

Mr Sugar man : Best Afro Pop Of The Year (Ube) was presented to him by ruth ohams

Helen Thomas : Gospel Artiste Of The Year (female) was presented to her by Mr sammy oranugo

Prince Jonathan eze nwadinobi, Stage name (Eze One) also know as mr nwanyi diya bu eze, mr ure diya, mr gbera: Best Artist In Diaspora  (Gh) (Gbera Ft dammy krane) was presented to him by mr sammy oranugo

Chidi  Collins eke : Gospel Artiste Of The Year (male) presented by mr sammy oranugo

Ruff coin – Special Recognition Award. Presented by mr sammy oranugo

Avalon okpe – Special Recognition award. Presented by Mr sammy oranugo

Paddy Patrick – Special Recognition Award. Presented by ruth ohams

The whole team stood with Joy as the president Sammy Oranugo Announced Hon. Sir Cosmos Ndukwe Ph.D (MOG) the founder of the luxury city hotels as the Best Promoter of entertainment 2016.
There was also a live performances from
Flexy W,  Mpresh, double dice,  David Kachi,  A. K boys (dance crew)  sunny Messiah (comedy)  flex Michael Jackson (dancer) and many more.
The hosts of the night Stanley Mba of pbs tv and Ruth ohams of McL TV  made it more excellent with TV swag.
The event ended by 9pm and all to the glory of God.  Special thanks to the whole supporters that made the first ever Abia Music Awards a success.
