These ferocious fish live in the wild rivers, but recently they were found in one Chinese tourist’s luggage. Chongqing airport’s Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau announced on Thursday that they have intercepted six frozen fish in a luggage of a tourist who had returned from Zambia.

The six fish, which were of different species and weighed 20kg, looked wild and ferocious, but the tourist insisted that he had bought them to be served for dinner.

As the “foreign” fish were imported without following any food and safety protocols, they were likely to be risky, and so the officials sealed them on the spot. The fish were soon sent to the bureau’s laboratory to determine what species they belonged to. The result is yet to be known.
