Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has revealed he is “excited” of Mourinho’s arrival at Old Trafford.
Jose Mourinho signed for Manchester United last week on a three-year contract, and has been surrounding himself in the club’s training ground in Carrington.
The 30-year old striker was monitored by Mourinho back in 2013 while he was Chelsea’s boss, with the Portuguese being a long time admirer of Rooney.
“It’s exciting. Jose is one of the best managers in the world. Rooney said.
“He knows the Premier League really well. For myself and the other United players, it’s exciting times and I’m looking forward to it.”
Wayne Rooney is currently preparing to lead his country England in the Euro 2016 finals slated for France this June.
