Popular music streaming platform Spotify is finally launching in Africa’s most populous nation Nigeria. The digital service provider (DSP) has taken the bold step to explore other markets in 2021.
The launch of Spotify in Nigeria comes as a bit of good news because for very long Nigerians have been denied access to the platform except with the use of a VPN service.
Spotify in collaboration with Burna Boy announced its launch into new markets especially in African countries like Nigeria, Togo, Ghana, Gambia, Gabon, Tanzania etc.
The news has been greeted with excitement from Nigerians who can now access their favourite artistes songs now on the platform. Burna Boy has one of the most streamed albums on the platform.
