Juventus Defeated Barcelona, Dortmund Game Postponed

Two contrasting incident occurred in the first leg of UEFA Champions League quarter final round as in Turin, Juventus grabbed an impressive win over Barcelona, while in Dortmund the match had to be postponed until Wednesday local time.

Eager to showcase that they are worthy candidate for UCL trophy this season, Juve put on an aggressive display early on as they got themselves an early lead through Paulo Dybala after just seven minutes of play.

That early strike, set the tone for both sides as Barca practically dominated possession from that moment on, while their opponent were comfortable to play on the break.

Juventus’ tactic apparently worked better though as on 22 minutes they were able to double their advantage, with another effort from Dybala.

The first leg practically ended early in the second period when Massimiliano Allegri’s men snatched their third through Giorgio Chiellini’s header.

A massive advantage indeed for Juve before their second leg battle at Camp Nou, but knowing Barca, the tie might be far from over for the Turin giant.

Meanwhile, a tragic incident occurred in Germany, ahead of Dortmund’s battle against Monaco at Signal Iduna Park.

That game had to be postponed as the buss that carried BVB players seemingly received bombs attack, which also injured one of their players, Marc Bartra.

The former Barca defender was taken to hospital after picking a hand injury, but reports stating nothing serious happening for their Spanish defender.

Despite the unpleasant situation, Dortmund players must gather themselves and prepare to play against Monaco on Wednesday as UEFA rescheduled that tie only a day after the incident.
