Dee Jay Fabulous

*JUBRIL FATAI KOLAWOLE, AKA DJ FABULOUS SHARES HIS GRASS TO GRACE STORY*
Am Jubril Fatai Kolawole, from Lagos State, Awori to be precise. My education started from Tai-Solarin Nur/Pry school, after my basic 6.
I further my education by attending Lagos State Model College were I got my first leaving school certificate. During my final year in secondary school I was the utility prefect, which I and my social prefect work hand in hand, these was when I got the inspiration of becoming a DJ.
We organise social night back then in school and I use my teachers laptop to mix songs for dancers, artiste coming to meet celebrities songs on stage. So after I left school in 2011, I got a laptop and downloaded a dj software called VIRTUAL DJ, which I started to learn on my own and playing to the hearing of my friends. InDid that for like a year then I wanted to add something to my profile, so I enrolled at  PARADIGM INITIATIVE where all my dreams started to become a reality.
I was thought how to start up my own business and how I could make use of social media to sell myself out to people, I started going for free show just to create some awearness in my neighbourhood, my dad never allowed this chosen path of mine, insisting that I should go to school and become a naval officer after my Bsc and the likes, so I got admission into National Open University were I was studying Mass Communication, I was still doing my DJ job but indoor, because if my dad knows am going for petty jobs he would be mad at me, there was no one to talk to him on my behalf, I just had to comply with him and face my studies.
Something happened while I was in my 300level,  November 5th 2015, sad day I can’t forget, I lost my dad and everything seems like I was going to die with him because I have no job to feed or sponsor myself to school,  he gave me everything and never wanted me to do dirty jobs outside. I called myself and asked myself these questions “what are you going to do with your life now?” I had many thoughts running through my mind but something just said to me you have a career you were pursing why not give it your all?  So the journey began.
I started biding for jobs outside my neighbourhood, showcasing my skills outside and I did some monthly jobs to save some money for my instrument, I did that for about a year then I got my first Speakers, I was happy and I said to myself you have started from somewhere. Jobs were coming but the payment were poor just had to manage and save for other equipment. I was going for shows, events, anniversaries and so before God sent me a helper who saw my struggles, efforts to become somebody in life, so these man called me and said can I manage these business if I see an helper?  I was speechless don’t know what reply to give him because that was my dream all these years… just to get an helper.
So this gentleman called me one morning and asked me to get ready, that we were going to prize my equipment and I was like prize, we got to Alaba international and prized these equipment and to my surprise he was just paying after prizing. He got a shop for me and told me to manage these equipment well.
After all these I told myself now that I need to make this man proud and never to let him down. So I set-up my studio,  branded-up the place up to my taste,  everyone wants me in their occasion because not only that we have the instrument, we also have what it takes to play at any occasion.
Olorode Babatunde is these man God has used to change my life. My Mision is to become one of the best DJ’s in Nigeria. Bringing back evergreen songs to life is my vision. Fabz Entertainment is the record label. We have two djs now,  Deejay Fabulous  and Deejay Kayjay,
