Following the rapper FalzTheBahdGuy recent interview with HipTv where advised his fellow Nigerian musicians to stop promoting and glorifying fraudsters in their music.

Many opinions, hateful comments have been observed in all social media platforms with sections supporting the right-handed rapper rapper, while some criticized the veteran musician’s indirect shadowing, 9ice ‘Living Things.

The event may now have taken a new turn with new facts presented in the period when this issue flourished in the industry.

With all the hatred finally paving the way for self-esteemed, mentally displaced and unworthy people to be suddenly consumed with ego rights and bragging in the absence of real life, it should be noted that this norm (Glorifying fraud) really been fraudsters in play for a long time.

10. D’Banj – Mobolowowon

first on the list is Dbang hit song It’s been 12 years since the musical sensei, D’Banj dished out the evergreen record “Mobolowowon” to Nigerian music lovers ushering in a new dawn in the music industry.

The record “Mobolowowon” was one of the lead singles off D’Banj’s debut album “No Long Thing” which was released by Mo’Hits Records in 2005 with the entire production scored by Don Jazzy.

 

9. Olu Maintain – Yahoozee

Second on the list is “Yahooze” is a song by Nigerian recording artist Olu Maintain.  It was produced by Puffy Tee and officially released on October 27, 2007, as the lead single from his debut album of the same name. The music video for “Yahooze” was shot in Nigeria. The official remix features guest vocals from Nigerian recording artist LKT. “Yahooze” won Hottest Single of the Year at the 2008 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

Number 3 on my list is Kelly Handsome, a singer of modest talents, is one of the latest artistes to grace the flourishing Nigerian music scene.

His break out video entitled Maga don Pay is an ode to Nigeria’s notorious 419 fraudsters; an unabashed psalm of adoration for their nefarious exploits. Like most Nigerian music videos, it projects a range of compelling cultural meanings. There is the ardent glorification of criminal behaviour, the vile objectification of women and the celebration of unearned riches.

2mussh was released on 2012 by Reminisce on his album titled Book of Rap Stories’ from the concept of the song it top number four on our list

9ice – Living Things has been trending since falz outburst about artist promoting fraudsters through their video.
